Why are some stars blue and others red? This star types chart explains it. Astronomers sort stars into the seven spectral classes O, B, A, F, G, K and M, from the hottest blue stars to the coolest red ones, and the poster shows each class with its colour, its surface temperature and a famous example you can look up in the night sky.
